Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas on Tuesday has said that schools all through Punjab may stay shut for an all-inclusive time-frame given the circumstance of the Covid pandemic. 

The clergyman was talking at the initial service of the retirement framework for instructors of the region where he addressed the issue of schools being shut all through the area. 

"I need to open schools," he said. "In any case, we may need to go with the alternative of expanding the conclusion of schools, given the current conditions," added the pastor. 

Raas said that by and by he was not for shutting schools, adding that the pandemic had unleashed destruction on kids' schooling. "A joint gathering of all instruction clergymen will occur on January 4 where the choice to broaden schools conclusion or not will be taken," he added. 

The pastor said that the common government suspended assessments for grade V as per the appraisal strategy. "At the point when it went to the tests of fifth graders, instructors were helping understudies cheat," he stated, clarifying the Punjab government's choice.
