KARACHI: The Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) arranged a dissent outside the Governor House against the Associate Degree program as of late presented by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), The News covered Tuesday.
The nonconformists, holding bulletins and yelling trademarks, raised worries over supposed anomalies in the Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) directed under the Pakistan Medical Commission.
Tending to the dissidents, IJT Karachi Nazim Hafiz Umar Ahmad Khan said the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council should be promptly reestablished and a re-confirmation test should be held under it.
He added that the HEC's two-year degree program should be brought back as a huge number of understudies couldn't finish the four-year degree program.
In November, HEC had given orders to all instructive organizations to stop two-year single guys degree programs as it won't perceive any such projects attempted after the scholarly year 2018.
In 2019, the advanced education controller had reported that they will end the two-year BA/BSc program supplanting them with Associate Degree programs (AD).
The commission had fundamentally changed the terminology for the degree.
